NOTICE OF A SPECIAL CALL MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LEWISBURG, TENNESSEE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A SPECIAL CALL MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LEWISBURG is to be held on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at Lewisburg City Hall, 131 East Church Street, at 5:00 p.m. The purpose of the Special Call Meeting will be for considering and taking such action as the Council may deem necessary and to the public interest relative to the following item (s) of business: a. Consider approval of 3rd and final reading of Ordinance 19-03, an Ordinance amending Ordinance 19-01 pertaining to the 2018-2019 budget (amd. #2). b. Consider approval of 3rd and final reading of Ordinance 19-04, an Ordinance fixing the tax rate for 2019 and approving the 2019-2020 Budget.
Invitation to Bid Rooftop Unit The Marshall County Board of Education is accepting bids on a 15 ton rooftop unit for the Library at Lewisburg Middle School, until 10:00 a.m., on July 1, 2019. Invitation to Bid Lewisburg Electric System is accepting bids for fencing for the new West Lewisburg Substation located at 2224 Mooresville Highway, Lewisburg, TN. Fencing is to be completed no later than September 3, 2019. Fencing work may commence upon completion of grading. VACANCY ON MARSHALL COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION A vacancy exists on the Marshall County Board of Education in the 1st District. Anyone desiring to apply for the unexpired term of John M. Dippold must reside in the 1st District of Marshall County and should be a registered voter in Marshall County. Applicants should send notice of their intention to apply for the position along with a copy of their high school diploma or equivalent along with contact information to the County Mayor’s Office at 1108 Courthouse Annex, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 by July 5, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. This appointment will be made by the Marshall County Commission, meeting in regular session on July 22, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Marshall County Courthouse Annex Building, room 2204, Lewisburg, Tennessee. Chapel Hill Beer Board The Town of Chapel Hill Beer Board will meet Wednesday, July 10 at 4:00 P.M. at Town Hall. The Board will consider a special event permit, and a packaged beer permit. All interested persons are welcome and encouraged to attend. Public meetings may also be reviewed on the Town’s YouTube channel.
Chapel Hill Planning Commission The Town of Chapel Hill Planning Commission will cancel its regular meeting this month. They will have a special called meeting Monday, July 1 at 3:00 P.M. at Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the Final Plat for Phase One of Spring Creek Farms subdivision, and also consider the approval of a commercial sign. All interested persons are welcome and encouraged to attend. Public meetings may also be reviewed on the Town’s YouTube channel.
