Forrest Band of blue is state runner up (11/10/06)
The Forrest Jr/Sr High School's Rocket Band of Blue took home the second place trophy form the Division I State Marching Band Finals in Murfreesboro at Riverdale High School. The band, under the direction of Mr. Billy Bateman, not only placed second in a field of 24 bands from across the state, but was the only band rated superior in all four categories of Field Commander, Color Guard, Percussion, and Band.The band had placed in the top ten finalist for the last six years, but this is their highest award so far.. ...
