Forrest Middle School Rockets look to regain supremacy (08/22/07)
In 2006, the Forrest Middle School Rockets lost two games - the first two games they had lost in over four years. A late season, three overtime 12-6 loss to Bridgeforth snapped what had been an incredible 36-game winning streak.

Mildred Vivian Jean Aug. 20, 2007 Mildred Vivian Jean, age 78, of Lewisburg, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007 in Marshall Medical Center. Jean was a native of Williamson County, Tenn., and the daughter of the late Trim K. and Annie Sue Chunn. She was a retired bank teller from First National Bank and member of the Church Street Church of Christ.

Hodges was a native of Paragould, Arkansas, and the daughter of the late James L. and Clara Opal McLain Stearns. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 from the chapel of Phillips - Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Rd., Nashville, Tenn. Graveside services followed at 2 p.m. at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, Tenn.

Murrey Woodrow Wilson Aug. 17, 2007 Murrey Woodrow Wilson, age 90, died on Aug. 17. Born to Adolphus and Sally May Wilson on Sept. 9, 1916 in Lewisburg, Tenn., he was a minister for the Church of Christ, Associate Professor at Harding University, and a Deacon for the College Church of Christ in Searcy. He was preceded in death in by his wife of 56 years, Hazel Wilson, in Aug. 1997.

Hazel Davis Holland Aug. 16, 2007 Hazel Davis Holland, age 88, of Chapel Hill, Tenn., died Thurs., Aug. 16, 2007 in Nashville, Tenn. A daughter of the late William Oscar and Esther Ellen Lamb Holland, she was a homemaker and a member of Promise United Methodist Church. Holland was preceded in death by her husband, Alford Myrel Holland, who died in 2000, and by a grandson, Jeff Curtis as well as two sisters and two brothers.

Cook was a native of Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Arthur Horace and Edith Wortham Molder. She was a retired receptionist from a medical clinic and from Castner Knott Company with 27 years of service. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church.
