The Marshall County Tigerettes treated a capacity crowd to a thrilling come-from-behind 4-2 win over Creekwood in the opening round of the Region 6-AA tournament at Reese Hambrick Field in Lewisburg on Monday afternoon under ominous skies.

The Marshall County High School tennis program continued a nine-year run of sending at least one participant to the state tournament on Monday when Allison Adcock and Connor Kennedy claimed Region 5A-AA singles titles at Columbia Academy.

Forrest's Shelby Stinnett continued her post-season prowess Monday night at the Field of Dreams in Chapel Hill versus McEwen in the Region 5-A opener, tossing a complete game shutout and her teammates supported her with all the runs she needed, scoring five times.
