CMS Lady Bulldogs pull away from Elkton (11/12/11)
The Cornersville Middle School Lady Bulldogs (5-3) rattled off their fourth straight win on Monday night when they traveled down to Giles County and defeated the Elkton Lady Elks 38-26. Having beaten Elkton 35-31 six days earlier in the Cornersville Athletic Club Booster tournament, the Lady Bulldogs built a 17-10 lead in the first half before outscoring the Lady Elks 21-16 over the final two quarters to pull away for the 12-point victory.

After narrowly losing to Elkton in overtime six days earlier, the Cornersville Middle School Bulldogs (0-6) had a tougher time with the Elks on Monday night, as they dropped a 34-21 decision on the road. Aided by a strong defense and a dominant performance on the offensive glass, Elkton held a 13-7 lead at halftime before outscoring CMS 21-14 in the second half to claim the 13-point victory.
