  • Committee OKs sheriff's request (Local News ~ 03/25/12)
    Marshall County's Law Enforcement Committee unanimously agreed Friday to Sheriff Norman Johnson's request for support of his plan to post the Ten Commandments, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence in his office. Early last month, a guest speaker at the Tennessee Sheriff's Association advised the lawmen that when posted with the two American documents, the Ten Commandments can be posted in a government building because it would then, in context, be an historic document instead of a religious document displayed alone.. ...
