The FMS Rockets are not used to losing, not having lost a game since E.O. Coffman beat them last year, but on Thursday, the Generals routed Forrest 12-0 in a five-inning, run-rule win in Spring Hill. Forrest managed just two hits in the ballgame on a double by Dylan Eady in the second inning and a single by Jaylen Smith in the third. Marshall McKee was the only other Forrest base runner when he walked with two outs in the first inning. -

On Monday, the Forrest Middle School Lady Rockets ran their record to 2-0 on the young season when they defeated the Cornersville Lady Bulldogs 8-1 on the road in the first game of a doubleheader. Aided by a four-run first inning, Forrest held a 4-1 lead through the first four frames before crossing home plate four more times in the top of the fifth to claim their second straight win over the Lady Bulldogs (2-2). -
CMS Lady Bulldogs crush E.A. Cox (High School Sports ~ 03/06/13)
On Thursday night, the Cornersville Middle School Lady Bulldogs ran their record to 2-1 on the season by pounding the E.A. Cox Lady Cougars 12-2 at home in six innings. After overcoming an early one-run deficit, the Lady Bulldogs held a 4-2 lead through the first four and a half innings of play before crossing home plate eight times over the next two frames to claim the mercy rule shortened victory. -
LMS Tigers ice Generals, keep streak alive (High School Sports ~ 03/06/13)
It was snowy and frigid, but the show went on Friday night and the LMS Tigers persevered, icing the Spring Hill Generals 7-5 in their season opener at the Jonathan D. Hollingsworth Memorial Field in Lewisburg. First year LMS head coach Frank Musgrave said after the game, "We started out good at 1-0, but they got ahead of us there and we got a little worried about, but we than we started to swinging the bat a little bit better, got some guys on base and really had some guys come through for us." -

After squeezing out a 7-5 win over Spring Hill in their season-opener, the LMS Tigers had a much easier time against Whitthorne on Monday, blanking their namesakes 10-0 in a five-inning run rule win. "We got off to a good start tonight, we started swinging the bats in the first inning and it makes it a lot easier when you get eight runs in the first," said LMS head coach Frank Musgrave. -

The Forrest Middle School Lady Rockets (3-0) completed the sweep of a doubleheader against the Cornersville Middle School Lady Bulldogs (2-3) on Monday night by defeating CMS 10-0 on the road in the second game.. Bolstered by a five-run fourth inning, the Lady Rockets finished with nine hits and two walks against CMS starting pitcher Mikaela King to go along with two Cornersville errors.
