The Marshall County Dusters improved to 2-0 in pool play at the Crethan Hansert Memorial Tournament by crushing the Grundy County Yellow Jackets 11-0 in six innings at Coffee County High School on Friday afternoon. Despite making only one other appearance on the mound during his high school career, Marshall County starting pitcher Ryan Richardson turned in a remarkably effective performance, as he recorded six strikeouts while limiting the Yellow Jackets to just five hits and a walk en route to tossing a complete game shutout. -

Having posted a 4-0 record in pool play, the Marshall County Dusters advanced to the championship game of the Crethan Hansert Memorial Tournament by defeating the Blackman Blaze 5-4 in eight innings on Sunday afternoon in the semifinals at Coffee County High School. Blackman held a 3-0 lead through the first three innings of play, but the Dusters fought back and outscored the Blaze 4-1 over the next four frames to tie the game at 4-4. -

After sweeping a doubleheader against Murfreesboro Central Magnet the previous evening, the Marshall County Dusters recorded their third straight win on Friday afternoon when they defeated tourney host Coffee County 10-6 in eight innings at the Crethan Hansert Memorial Tournament. The Red Raiders held a 6-3 lead through the first five innings of play, but Marshall County came storming back in the top of the sixth and plated three runs in the frame to tie the game at 6-6. -
