The Cornersville Bulldogs' competitive fire carried them to victory on a chilly Friday night, as coach John Denton's banged up CHS squad pulled out a hard fought 30-22 home win over the East Robertson Indians behind another sensational performance from quarterback Stone Riner. After losing two-way starter Justin Black to a broken ankle earlier in the week, Cornersville saw center Dillard Hatchett and safety Devante Spencer both go down with injuries in the first half while building a 14-8 lead through the first two quarters of play. -

After consecutive losses in week five and six, the Forrest Rockets were a 3-3 ballclub finding their way, but since then the Chapel Hill squad has reeled off three straight wins, including a solid, play-off clinching 21-13 triumph at MTCS Friday night. "We are very excited and proud of the boys to win such a close game," said Forrest head coach Brian Coleman. "MTCS is a good playoff team, we had to battle for this win." Forrest (6-3, 4-1) trailed 7-0 in the first quarter before putting up 14 points in the second quarter to take a lead they would never surrender. -
Tiger win keeps playoffs possible (High School Sports ~ 10/30/13)
The Marshall County Tigers (4-5, 2-2) kept their playoff hopes alive on senior night, downing Stratford 32-20 in the cold Friday night at Preston Hopkins Field in Lewisburg. "It was a very ugly played game," said MCHS head coach Aaron Pitts. "But our kids kept fighting, kept executing, kept trying to do things the right way and in the end they kept battling and made some plays to get us the win." Just two players ran the ball for Marshall County with Bennielle Hill and Austin Stacey combining for 279 yards on the ground as Hill ran for 140 yards and one touchdown, while Stacey ran for 139 yards and made two trips into the Spartans' end zone.
