Claudale Armstrong found guilty by jury

By Karen Hall Editor After a two-day jury trial this week, a Lewisburg man was found guilty as charged. Claudale R. "Bone" Armstrong, 33, of Thomas Street, was charged with sale and delivery of crack cocaine on July 19 and Aug. 9, 2011. These were indicted as separate cases, but prosecution and defense agreed they could be consolidated because the crimes included the same confidential informant, happened in the same location and in a similar manner, and were mostly witnessed by the same people...

The Marshall County Tigers (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season on the pitch when they dropped a 4-1 decision to the Shelbyville Golden Eagles (2-1) on Tuesday night at home. Having outscored their two previous opponents by a count of 16-1, the Tigers hung tough with Shelbyville early and battled the Golden Eagles to a 1-1 tie late in the first half. -

On Tuesday, the Cornersville Bulldogs completed the season sweep of District 11-A foe Mt. Pleasant when they defeated the Tigers 8-1 on the road. Cornersville (6-0, 4-0 District) held a 2-0 lead through the first three innings of play before plating six runs over the next three frames to open up an 8-0 advantage en route to claiming their fifth straight win over Mt. Rockets stop Raiders (High School Sports ~ 03/21/14)
The Forrest Rockets, coming off a 1-4 start to the season, rode a complete game performance on the mound by Logan Hollingsworth and a clutch squeeze bunt RBI by Jacob Daughrity in the fourth inning to edge Moore County 2-1 in Chapel Hill Tuesday night. Hollingsworth was strong on the hill for the Rockets, giving up a lone run on just two hits, while walking two, striking out three and hitting one Raider hitter in seven innings of work.
