On Monday night, Marshall Medical Center (1-2) picked up their first win of the season when they defeated Nichirin 8-7 in five innings at Jonathan D. Hollingsworth Memorial Park. MMC appeared headed for an easy victory after racing out to an 8-0 lead through the first two innings of play, but Nichirin came storming back and tallied seven runs over the next two frames to whittle the deficit to 8-7. -
A-Plus Collision Center doubles up Elks (High School Sports ~ 05/21/14)
A-Plus Collision Center (3-0) won a battle of unbeaten teams on Monday night when they defeated the Elks 4-2 to claim first place in the Marshall County Babe Ruth League standings. Although the Elks had won 12 straight games dating back to last season, APCC knocked the defending league champs on their heels early and built a 4-0 lead through the first three innings of play.
