After losing the first three meetings against the Marshall County Dusters (19-9) this summer, the Columbia Cubs reversed that trend on Wednesday afternoon when they claimed a 6-2 victory in the first game of a doubleheader at Joe George Field. Columbia took control of the game early and built a 6-0 lead through the first four innings of play before coasting to the four-run victory. -
Dusters halt Cubs (High School Sports ~ 07/11/14)
The Marshall County Dusters reached the 20-win mark for the summer season by defeating the Columbia Cubs 6-0 in five innings on Monday night in the second game of a doubleheader at Joe George Field. After scoring just two runs in the first game of the evening, the Dusters (20-9) saw their bats heat up in the second contest and finished with seven hits and two walks against two Columbia hurlers.
