The Marshall County Tigers golf team ran their record to 3-0 on the young season when they defeated the Columbia Central Lions and Giles County Bobcats in a tri-match on Monday afternoon at Hillcrest Country Club in Pulaski. Marshall County had two golfers break 40 on the day and posted a team score of 159 after taking the top four rounds from six golfers. Columbia Central placed second in the match and finished 13 strokes off the pace with a 172, while Giles County came in third with a 185. -
Big plays burn Bulldogs vs. Fayetteville (High School Sports ~ 08/06/14)
Preventing big plays proved to be a problem for the Cornersville Bulldogs in their first preseason scrimmage, as they dropped a 36-13 decision at home on Friday night to an athletic Fayetteville Tiger squad that advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class A playoffs last year. The Bulldogs held their own in the first half of the contest and trailed just 16-13 through the first two quarters of play. -
