A man who is wanted in Idaho on a charge of grand theft by deception was arrested in Marshall County Friday. Stephan C. Dimonte, 47, who has been living in Chapel Hill, came to the attention of law enforcement because of a complaint from Parkway Market. Construction to pavilion at Berlin Springs comes to an end

In October 2010, Marshall County was approved a $110,000 grant to build the pavilion. The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Recreation Educational Services teamed with the city of Lewisburg to help fund half the construction. Cascade tops Marshall County again on links in tri-match (High School Sports ~ 08/20/14)
Cascade continues to be a thorn in the side of the Marshall County Tigers golf team, as the Champions defeated MCHS and the Shelbyville Golden Eagles in a tri-match on Thursday afternoon at Saddle Creek Golf Course. Aided by strong performances from Tanner Banks and Tyler Huff, Cascade posted a team score of 156 after taking the top four rounds from six golfers. Marshall County (7-2) finished 11 strokes off the pace with a 167, while Shelbyville came in third with a 175. -
Cornersville teams enjoy productive day (High School Sports ~ 08/20/14)
Both Cornersville golf teams picked up a pair of wins on Thursday afternoon, as the Bulldogs finished second in a four-team match at Graymere Country Club in Columbia while the Lady Bulldogs defeated Spring Hill and Zion Christian in the girls match. Columbia Academy came out on top in the boys match and posted a team score of 164 after taking the four best rounds from six players. The Bulldogs (3-3) finished 21 strokes off the pace with a 185, while the Zion Christian Academy Eagles came in third with a 192. The Spring Hill Raiders placed fourth in the match because they fielded only three golfers. -
Mustangs double up Tigers (High School Sports ~ 08/20/14)
The Marshall County Tigers wrapped up their preseason schedule on Friday night when they dropped a 14-7 decision to the Lipscomb Academy Mustangs in the Pigskin Preview at Preston Hopkins Field. Playing three quarters instead of the usual two, the two teams battled to a 7-7 tie early in the second period before the Mustangs put together a lengthy touchdown drive to seize a 14-7 lead. -
LMS Tigers tear apart Whitthorne in opener (High School Sports ~ 08/20/14)
The Lewisburg Middle School Tigers recorded their third straight blowout victory over Whitthorne Middle School on the gridiron when they rolled to a 47-0 win in their season opener on Thursday night in Columbia. Having outscored Whitthorne 105-20 in their last two meetings, the Tigers moved in for the kill early on Thursday and forged a 34-0 lead in the first half before tacking on two more touchdowns over the final two quarters to complete the demolition of the longtime rival.
