Brett Spivy, 31, is the son of Cecilia and Tommy Spivy. He graduated from Marshall County High School in 2002, and from UT Martin in 2006. Fire trucks undergo annual testing

CA rolls past CMS Bulldogs (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
The Cornersville Middle School Bulldogs (1-2) had a tough time of it on Tuesday night, as they lost 48-18 on the road to an undefeated Columbia Academy squad. CA (5-0) held a 24-14 lead at the break before turning on the afterburners in the second half and outscoring Cornersville 24-4 over the final two quarters to pull away for the 30-point victory. -
CMS Bulldogs pull away from Elks (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
On Monday night, the Cornersville Middle School Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season by defeating the Elkton Elks 43-28 at home. Cornersville (1-1) controlled the game early on and led by as many as 10 points in the second quarter before taking a 23-16 advantage into the break. Elkton rallied to slice the deficit to 23-21 midway through the third quarter, but the Bulldogs turned it on down the stretch and outscored the Elks 20-7 the rest of the way to claim the 15-point victory. -
CMS Lady Bulldogs hammer Elkton (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
After falling to New Prospect in their season opener four days earlier, the Cornersville Lady Bulldogs (1-1) bounced back in a big way on Monday night when they crushed the Elkton Lady Elks 45-6 at home. The Lady Bulldogs put down the hammer early and forged a 28-3 lead in the first half before outscoring Elkton 17-3 over the final two quarters en route to picking up their first victory of the season. -
CMS blasts Columbia Academy (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
Cornersville Middle School forward Gabby King turned in a royally good performance on Tuesday night, as she poured in a career high 25 points to help lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 38-14 road victory over Columbia Academy. Despite getting off to a somewhat sluggish start, the Lady Bulldogs (2-1) held a 20-11 lead in the first half before outscoring CA 18-3 over the final two quarters to cruise to the 24-point victory. -
FMS Rockets blast Fayetteville (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
The FMS Rockets continued their torrid start to the season, blasting Fayetteville 58-27 Monday night in Chapel Hill. Forrest went to the long ball game versus the Tigers, knocking down nine three-pointers in the contest, including four treys in the first quarter. After a Ryley McClaran drive to the hoop to open the scoring, Ty Hengesbach threw down the first of the long bombs in the game for the Rockets. -
Big first half propels Lady Rockets (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
The FMS Lady Rockets came out on fire Monday night in Chapel Hill, outscoring Fayetteville 20-4 in the first half and it was about all they needed as they won 20-12. Seventh-grader Anna Blanton scored four points in the opening period, while twin sister Ally Blanton knocked down a basket and Kayla Gillespie came up with two more points for Forrest. -
Lady Rockets clip Eagleville 26-20 (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
The FMS Lady Rockets turned in a solid performance in Chapel Hill Thursday night, holding on down the stretch to beat Eagleville 26-20, marking the first time this season that Forrest has won back-to-back games. Shasta Beaty, who led the Lady Rockets in scoring with seven points in the game, scored four early points in the paint in a 4-4 tie before Eagleville took the lead on a basket by Makayla Moates. -
Rockets' red-hot start continues (High School Sports ~ 10/31/14)
The red-hot FMS Rockets took on Eagleville Thursday night in Chapel Hill and the two long-time rivals gave the fans all they wanted in a spirted battle won by Forrest 31-25. Forrest, coming off a game where they made a truckload of three-pointers were cool from the arch on Thursday, but the mark of a good team is to make adjustments on the fly and the Rockets did, controlling the paint, while not making one trey the entire game.
