The Cornersville Middle School Lady Bulldogs (3-2) had their three-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night when they dropped a 22-21 decision on the road to Ethridge Elementary School. With Cornersville's leading scorer Gabby King relegated to the bench for much of the game due to foul trouble, Ethridge held a 10-9 lead at halftime prior to opening up an 18-10 advantage early in the fourth quarter. -

After a slow start, the FMS Lady Rockets fired up the engines in the second half to come away with 26-23 win over their namesakes from Westwood Monday night in Chapel Hill. The Manchester girls sprinted out to a big 7-0 first-quarter lead, holding FMS scoreless until Anna Blanton drained a 3-pointer with 9.2 seconds remaining in the opening stanza. Ethridge stuns CMS boys (High School Sports ~ 11/07/14)
The Cornersville Middle School Bulldogs (2-3) got put through the ringer on Tuesday night when they suffered a 48-21 defeat on the road at the hands of Ethridge Elementary School. Ethridge broke the game open early and built a 28-10 lead in the first half before outscoring the Bulldogs 20-11 over the final two quarters to cruise to the 27-point victory. Bolstered by their strong first half performance, EES finished with a 14-7 advantage in field goals and outscored Cornersville 19-6 at the foul line while forcing 29 Bulldog turnovers. -
LMS Tigers stymie Spring Hill (High School Sports ~ 11/07/14)
It appears that Lewisburg Middle School basketball coach David Lovell has assembled another strong team this year, as the Tigers opened their season by going on the road and whipping the Spring Hill Generals 41-20 on Monday night. Despite getting off to a slow start offensively, LMS held a 14-9 lead at the break before putting their foot on the gas in the second half and outscoring Spring Hill 27-11 over the final two quarters to pull away for the 21-point win. -
Rockets beat Cougars, stay unbeaten in conference (High School Sports ~ 11/07/14)
The FMS Rockets faced their stiffest conference test of the season Tuesday night in Chapel Hill, taking on a talented Middle Tennessee Christian School squad in a battle that was tightly contested until Forrest came up with a big fourth quarter that sealed a 45-36 victory. Forrest (10-4, 6-0) remained unbeaten in conference play on the season, but it was the Cougars who came into the game unbeaten and inspired from the out- set, leading the Rockets 10-8 after the first six minutes of play.
