With two freshmen in their starting lineup, the Marshall County Tigerettes (0-1) received a baptism by fire to start the 2014-15 basketball campaign, as they suffered an 80-35 road loss at the hands of the Shelbyville Golden Eaglettes (2-1) on Monday night. Marshall County got off to a promising start and held a 23-20 lead early in the second quarter, but the Eaglettes began to assert themselves after that point and closed the half with a 21-6 run to take a 41-29 advantage into the break. -

The Forrest grapplers picked up where they left off last season, taking two out of three matches in a multi-dual meet at David Lipscomb Academy.
