Cascade wears out Tigerettes (High School Sports ~ 01/17/15)
In the end, it was a depth issue and Cascade's superior play in the low post that spoiled one of best efforts of the season by the Marshall County Tigerettes, who faded late in a 56-40 loss Friday night in Wartrace. "We ran out of gas and ran out of bench, we just don't have the depth," said MCHS head coach Jerrie Henry. "I was really proud of the girls the way they did play, it's just hard when they have twelve running in and out and you only have seven." -
InSain 3rd quarter lifts Tigers over Cascade (High School Sports ~ 01/17/15)
The Marshall County Tigers, riding a five-game winning streak, travelled to Cascade Friday night and thanks to a havoc filled 29-point third quarter, MCHS marched home to Lewisburg with a big 74-59 win. "That atmosphere was great, small town, big time athletics, that's what it's about and they had a sixth man here in the first half, they were with it, and I think it rattled us a little bit, they couldn't even hear the calls we were calling," said MCHS head coach Arnett Bodenhamer. "We went into half time and I told them let's play, just play your game and you see when we turn the defensive intensity up, it's a whole new ballgame."
