Christ Presbyterian Academy (23-0, 10-0 District) completed an undefeated run through the regular season by thrashing the Marshall County Tigerettes 82-42 in Lewisburg on Friday night. The Cornersville Lady Bulldogs (9-17) ended the regular season with a thud on Thursday night, as they dropped a 47-31 decision to the Eagleville Lady Eagles on the road. Eagleville (13-14) steadily pulled away from Cornersville and built a 22-14 lead in the first half before outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 25-17 over the final two quarters to hand CHS its third straight loss. -

The Marshall County Tigerettes' season came to an end Monday night in Wartrace, losing to the Cascade Lady Champions 51-46 in the first round of the District 12-AA Tournament. After trailing 25-16 at halftime, Marshall County exploded with 18 points in the third quarter to take a 34-33 lead, entering the final period of play. -
Lady Bulldogs bow out of district tourney (High School Sports ~ 02/11/15)
For the first time in 11 years the Cornersville Lady Bulldogs (9-18) failed to advance past the first round of the District 11-A tournament after getting drubbed 66-37 by Columbia Academy at home on Monday night. The two teams split the regular season series, but everything that could go wrong did go wrong for the Lady Bulldogs, as CA (11-17) roared out to a 35-17 lead in the first half before outscoring Cornersville 31-20 over the final two quarters to advance to the District tournament semifinals. -

The tears started to flow before time ran out in Forrest's 2014 campaign that ended in a tough 53-47 loss to Moore County in the opening round of the District 9-A Tournament in Eagleville Monday night. "When we get our heads down we struggle, when were are playing happy we are pretty darn good," said Forrest coach Jeremy Jean. Cornersville High School concluded a relatively quick search for its next head football coach when they selected Gerard Randolph to lead their program last week. Randolph has been the head coach of the boys' basketball program at Cornersville for the last three years, but cited a desire to coach football again after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at CHS and Marshall County High School from 2009 to 2011. -

For the second year in a row, five Forrest wresters will be making the trip to the TSSAA Class A-AA State Wrestling Championships after a solid showing at the Region 3 A-AA tournament in Eagleville last weekend. "This is always a bitter sweet day because you will be happy for the ones who made it, but feel bad for the ones who didn't," said Forrest coach Kyle Stacey.
