Bulldogs bog down, Richland ends season (High School Sports ~ 02/13/15)
The Cornersville Bulldogs (2-22) made an early exit from the playoffs when they were defeated 64-33 by the Richland Raiders in Lynnville on Tuesday night in the first round of the District 11-A tournament. Aided by a strong first quarter performance, Richland (14-13) put the game out of reach early and built a 32-10 lead in the opening half before outscoring the Bulldogs 32-23 over the final two periods en route to advancing to the semifinals of the tournament. -
Raiders knock out Rockets (High School Sports ~ 02/13/15)
Cold shooting, turnovers, missed free throws, and a porous defense have been Forrest's downfall all season and it cost the Rockets an early exit from the post-season Tuesday night, losing 51-33 to Moore County in the first-round of the District 9-A Tournament in Eagleville. "We missed some easy ones, missed some free throws, and left some points out there," said Forrest coach Wes Hobbs. "They just outplayed us tonight." -
Waggoner signs with Freed-Hardeman University (High School Sports ~ 02/13/15)
In just three years, a newfound love has paid off for Forrest's Sierra Waggoner, who recently signed a Letter of Intent to join Freed-Hardeman University's Lady Lions soccer squad next year. "I'm going to play soccer because it's really fun, Freed- Hardeman is a really good school, they have a really good soccer program, and I feel like I fit in really well there," said Waggoner. "And it's Church of Christ and that is what I am." -

Cornersville men face multiple indictments

Dooley, 18, was indicted in three cases, and Donald E. W. Uland, 21, and Richard W. Ferguson, 21, were indicted in eight cases each.
