The Forrest Rockets held its shield with honor, fighting to the last breath at the Tennessee Scholastic Sports Athletic Association State Wrestling Championships at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center in Franklin last weekend. -
CPA tops Tigers in title game (High School Sports ~ 02/18/15)
The Marshall County Tigers (17-10) displayed plenty of heart on Valentine's Day, but were unable to pull off the upset of top ranked Christ Presbyterian Academy, as they were defeated 62-51 by the Lions on Saturday in the District 12-AA tournament championship game at Dottie Kelso Gymnasium. -
Tigers fend off Cascade (High School Sports ~ 02/18/15)
Having been knocked out of the playoffs in the first round of the District 12-AA tournament each of the last two years, the Marshall County Tigers exorcised some of their postseason demons on Friday night when they defeated the Cascade Champions 51-46 at home in the semifinals after receiving an opening round bye. Marshall County (17-9) had swept the regular season series against Cascade, but the Champions (19-9) had MCHS on upset alert late in the contest and trailed just 44-43 with 3:11 left in the fourth quarter.
