Bella Huey, who is a freshman at Marshall County High School, was diagnosed with Astrocytoma last year. She has malignant tumor on her brain that is unsuitable for a surgical procedure because it's on her motor strip. If doctors were to remove the tumor, it would leave her completely paralyzed on her left side... -

After losing to Summertown 4-0 in their season opener on Saturday, the Lewisburg Middle School Tigerettes handed new coach Beau Hardison his first win on Monday night when they crushed Whitthorne Middle School 14-1 at home in six innings. Tough season on the county hardwoods (High School Sports ~ 03/04/15)
It was a tough season for high school basketball fans in the county with five out of the six teams being eliminated in the first round of district tournament competition. The exception was the Marshall County Tigers, who finished up a solid season by advancing to the Region 6-AA semifinals for the first time since 2011. The low point of the year and a big shock to everyone was all three county girls' teams losing in the first round of their respective district tournaments, a setback that is believed to be for the first time. -
Lady Bulldogs expect big things (High School Sports ~ 03/04/15)
Having failed to advance past the District 11-A tournament the last three years, the Cornersville Lady Bulldogs are looking to get over the hump this season with the help of eight returning starters from a squad that posted a 16-12 record and placed third in the conference during the 2014 campaign. Senior starting pitcher Mary Taylor Hickman leads a very strong Cornersville pitching staff after posting an 8-4 record, tallying a 1.53 ERA, and racking up 135 strikeouts last year en route to earning All-District honors. Hickman possesses an overpowering fastball and can keep hitters off balance with her rise ball and changeup. -
