Grayson Whaley tossed a seven-inning complete game Tuesday for the Elks, who outlasted Marshall Medical center (MMC) 4-3 in the second game of a Marshall County Babe Ruth League double-header. Whaley gave up zero earned runs on six hits, walked three, hit one and struck-out seven MMC batters in the game. -

Columbia State Community College hosted the Rogers Group Inc. 19th Annual J.R. Moon Golf Classic this month at the Saddle Creek Golf Club in Lewisburg. "It is such a pleasure to be a part of this community-wide effort. Golfers,committee members, donors and volunteers make this the successful event it is every year," said Elizabeth McDow, director of the Lewisburg campus.
