Tigers fall flat against Lincoln County (High School Sports ~ 12/04/15)
The Marshall County Tigers took to the hardcourt at Dottie Kelso Memorial Gymnasium at Lewisburg for the first time this season and after a solid start, MCHS fell flat resulting in a 69-52 loss to Lincoln County. The Tigers (2-2) are still without the services of several football players, but MCHS Coach Arnett Bodenhamer was not happy with his, or the team's performance after the game. -
Tigerettes suffer a pair of losses (High School Sports ~ 12/04/15)
The Marshall County Tigerettes (0-4), still searching for an initial win this season, suffered a 50-31 loss on the court to Lincoln County in Tuesday night's home opener. Off the court, the Tigerettes suffered an even bigger loss when their senior leading scorer Kiya Morris left the team for undisclosed reasons. "I was telling someone---a little scientific notation that I used is when an amphibian loses a limb, they grow back one and also when a person loses one of the five senses, they get stronger at the others, so we have to get stronger as individuals and as a team," said MCHS coach Jerrie Henry. "It's unfortunate that occurred and I wish her well, but it's like any sport, you still have to play the game." -
Wrestling Club kicks off 5th year (Community Sports ~ 12/04/15)
he Marshall County Wrestling Club is kicking off its fifth season under the tutelage of coaches Austin Montgomery and Chris Posey. The MCWC has members from Chapel Hill, Lewisburg, Cornersville and Spring Hill and holds workouts at Horton Haven Christian Camp at Chapel Hill. -
Rockets wrestlers split road meet (High School Sports ~ 12/04/15)
The Forrest Rocket wrestling team took to the road Tuesday night, traveling to the Tennessee School for the Blind for a tri-meet that also included Page and Donelson Christian Academy. The Patriots handed Forrest its first loss of the year, but the Rockets came back with a wins over TSB and DCA to salvage a 2-1 night.
