Lady Bulldogs fall late in tourney (High School Sports ~ 12/29/15)
The Cornersville Lady Bulldogs came into the Richland Christmas Tournament riding a two game winning streak after starting the year 1-7 and losing several games on the final possession. The Lady Bulldogs took on a red-hot Frank Hughes (8-2) team Monday night and despite eventually falling 57-51, Cornersville once again proved that if it can put together a complete game the Bulldogs (3-7) can play with anyone in 1A. -
Patriots pull away, Rockets drop 10th straight (High School Sports ~ 12/29/15)
Page (6-5) handed the Forrest Rockets their 10th straight loss on Monday afternoon when the Patriots defeated FHS 77-58 at the Eagleville Christmas Classic. Forrest (1-12) hung tough for much of the first half and trailed by only three points midway through the second quarter, but Page used a run late in the stanza to open up a 45-35 lead at the break before outscoring the Rockets 32-23 over the final two periods to take home the 19-point victory. -
Eagles surge by win-hungry Bulldogs (High School Sports ~ 12/29/15)
Although they showed some fight early on, the Cornersville Bulldogs are still searching for their first win of the season after dropping a 70-46 decision to the Zion Christian Academy Eagles (6-4) at home on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs (0-7) got off to a promising start and led by as many as eight points in the first quarter before taking a 20-18 advantage into the second period. -
Cornersville still searching for win (High School Sports ~ 12/29/15)
The Bulldogs traveled to Lynnville for the Richland Christmas Tournament still looking for its first win of the season against a talented Unionville squad. The Bulldogs would go on to lose the contest by a score of 72-47, but the Cornersville faithful can find solace knowing that the young team has not thrown in the towel on the season and is improving game by game.
