Jerry Lee Wilson, age 90, a longtime resident of Cornersville, Tennessee, died January 13, after a short illness. Mr. Wilson was born November 28, 1925 to Edward Delwyn and Florence Gertrude Blackwell Wilson of Chapel Hill, Tenn. Tigerettes suffer home district loss vs. Spring Hill (High School Sports ~ 01/15/16)
Two one win teams met Tuesday night is Lewisburg when Spring Hill came to town to battle Marshall County for a key district win. The Tigerettes (1-13, 0-3) started off sluggish and despite a second quarter run to pull within one point the Raiders (2-13, 1-2) were too much to overcome and Marshall County remained winless in district 12-AA after a 50-37 setback. -

Marshall County Wrestling Club continues winning (Community Sports ~ 01/15/16)
The Marshall County Wrestling Club recently traveled to Pigeon Forge for the first Top 100 wrestling tournament of the season. The Top 100 is a series of tournaments that attract the states finest wrestlers to compete for series points to determine a statewide Top 100 Champion. -
MCHS Tigers front and center on All Region-4A team

The Marshall County Tigers dominated the 2015-2016 All-Region 4A Team with 18 players selected to the squad. Marshall County (12-2) went to the state semifinals for the first time in 30 years this season as the Region 4A champions, dominating both sides of the ball as the prolific offense put up 42 points per game, while the stingy defense allowed opponents just 11.6 points per game.

The Forrest Rockets wrestling team marches on towards the post-season, taking a tough road by competing in several big dual tournaments with the latest coming Saturday when the Chapel Hill grapplers finished in third place at the Red Hawk Rumble at Creek Wood High School in Dickson. -
Elks Hoop Shoot still going strong; several players advance (Community Sports ~ 01/15/16)
The Lewisburg Elks Lodge #1990 held its longstanding Hoops Shoot on November 16 at Lewisburg Middle School consisting of girls and boys ages 8-to-13. The local Elks are among many of the more than 1.6 million members with 2,250 Lodges throughout the United States that host these tournament at no cost to any of the participants. The local winners advanced to the District Tournament in Lawrenceburg will they will have a shoot off with seven other districts throughout Middle Tennessee. -
Tigers rout Raiders, hit the road (High School Sports ~ 01/15/16)
The Marshall County Tigers welcomed long-time rival Spring Hill to Dottie Kelso Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday night looking to move into second place in the district with a win over the Raiders after knocking off Cascade last Friday at Wartrace.
