Bulldogs fight, fall to Santa Fe (High School Sports ~ 01/22/16)
The Cornersville boy's squad came off its first win of the year on Friday night, looking to make the Santa Fe Wildcats (7-10, 5-4) win number two of the year and gain some much needed momentum down the stretch towards the District 11-A Tournament. The Bulldogs were held to its second lowest scoring total in nine games in a 59-38 loss on Tuesday, but Cornersville was within striking the entire game heading into the fourth quarter, proving that the win against Hampshire was just what the young squad needed to gain some confidence. -

The Lady Bulldogs welcomed district foe Santa Fe (6-11, 5-4) to Cornersville on Tuesday night, looking to exact a little revenge on the Wildcats after the visitors beat the Bulldogs by 10 points during the second district game of the season early in December. If living well is the best revenge then consider the Wildcats served as the Bulldogs' Madison Hopkins hit a bank shot at the buzzer to secure a 56-54 win. -
Rockets finish 2nd on mountain (High School Sports ~ 01/22/16)
Forrest traveled up the mountain on Saturday, taking one of 15 spots in the Mountain Top Classic Tournament at St. Andrew's-Sewanee School where the Rockets finished in second place. Mt. Juliet took the top spot with 186.5 points with the Rockets 24.5 points behind the Golden Bears. -

After a modest two-game winning streak, the Forrest Lady Rockets traveled to Middle Tennessee Christian School Tuesday night where the fell 61-55 to the Lady Cougars. Forrest was in the game early, but fell way behind before mounting a furious fourth quarter comeback that was squelched by some clutch free throw shooting down the stretch by MTCS. -
Prep games cancelled due to winter storm

Tonight's basketball games have been cancelled due to the ongoing winter storm. Marshall County has rescheduled tonight's game at CPA for Friday February 12. The Tigers (9-10, 3-2) and Tigerettes (1-15, 0-5) will be back in action when they host Cascade at Dottie Kelso Memorial Gymnasium in Lewisburg for "Pink Out" night on Tuesday.
