LMS puts freeze on Rockets (High School Sports ~ 03/04/16)
The LMS Tigers traveled to a frigid Chapel Hill Wednesday night where Preston Shelton made the Rockets even colder, tossing five innings of no-hit baseball to lead the Lewisburg boys to an 11-5 win. Caleb McElhaney came on for Shelton in the sixth and even though he probably could not even hold onto the ice ball by issuing seven bases on balls and five runs, the Rockets still did not manage a hit. -

Tigers knock off Cascade, look to rematch with CPA Marshall County traveled back to Spring Hill on Tuesday night to take on Cascade in the Region 6-AA semi-finals, playing the Champions for the third and final time during this season with the winner taking on CPA in the title game and the loser heading to the house until the next season. For the second straight game, the Tigers waited until the final minutes to come alive and seize victory from the jaws of defeat by winning 65-62 after trailing by as many as 14 points for the majority of the fourth quarter. -
Motlow Bucks baseball on winning streak heading into TCCAA conference play (College Sports ~ 03/04/16)
LYNCHBURG, TN (Mar. 2, 2016) -- The Motlow Bucks swept a pair of doubleheaders this past weekend, setting them up to enter Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) play on a four-game winning streak. The Bucks (8-10, 0-0) beat visiting Morton College 13-5, 7-5 on Sunday, Feb. 28, then turned around and swept Bryan College JV 8-3, 12-2 on Monday. The Bucks will open TCCAA action when they travel to Jackson St. (12-5, 0-0) this weekend for a three-game series. Friday's single game begins at 2 p.m. and Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled for a noon start. -
Lady Bucks sweep Calhoun; open TCCAA play this weekend at Jackson State (College Sports ~ 03/04/16)
LYNCHBURG, TN (Feb. 29, 2016) -- The Motlow Lady Bucks traveled to Decatur, Ala. and earned a 6-0, 5-3 sweep over non-conference opponent Calhoun Community College Friday, Feb. 26. The games were rescheduled after inclement weather forced their postponement last Tuesday. Motlow (4-2, 0-0) was originally scheduled to host Gadsden State on Tuesday, Mar. 1, but expected rain forced the games to be moved up to Monday, Feb. 29. The first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1pm at Lady Bucks Field on Motlow's Moore County campus.
