PULASKI, Tenn. -- April is Autism Awareness Month and the Martin Methodist Baseball and Softball teams are excited to help join the cause as they will host their second annual Autism Awareness Night doubleheader at the East Campus on Friday, April 15. The RedHawk Softball team will host the University of Mobile in a critical SSAC doubleheader while the RedHawk Baseball team will play the first game of its three-game set against Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.). -

How sweet it is. Behind a 7-2 win at Pulaski Tuesday night, the Marshall County Tigers completed the regular season sweep over Giles County and in turn, got an early jump in the District 12-AA race. "It was a little harder tonight, we had several opportunities to put the game away early and didn't necessarily get that big hit we got last night," MCHS coach Mike "Monk" Reese said. William Robert Mitchell, age 70, formerly of Lewisburg, died April 1, 2016 in Olympia Fields, Illinios. He was the son of former Councilman Willie J. Mitchell and the late Evelyn Wakefield Mitchell. William Robert was a graduate of Jones Training School Class of 1963 and Grambling State University. He played football for the legendary coach Eddie Robinson and was among the first to be drafted to the NFL with the Washington Redskins. Later he became an executive with the Ford Motor Company...
