Duncan signs cheerleading scholarship (High School Sports ~ 05/25/16)
Tamera Duncan, a transfer to Marshall County High School from Forrest prior to her senior year became the latest Marshall County student athlete to sign a college scholarship on Wednesday, albeit one from a sport that doesn't get too much publicity- cheerleading. "I just kind of applied and put on my application that I cheered," Duncan said. "I saw that (Martin Methodist) was on the Tennessee Promise list and I wanted to go to a four-year college with a good criminal justice program. So when I got the call I kind of went 'yay!' because I didn't think that I would cheer after high school."
