  • * Locals shine at national meet (Community Sports ~ 10/14/16)
    Six riders out of Steve Fuller Stables at Lewisburg represented Marshall County during this past horse show season and the young horsemen came away with a bevy of honors at the season ending three-night championship show at the 37th Annual National Spotted Saddled Horse Association's World Grand Championship Horse Show on September 15-17 in Murfreesboro.
  • * Friday night football primer (High School Sports ~ 10/14/16)
    The three gridiron squads in Marshall County have made this the most exciting football season in many years, sporting a combined 18-4 record with three weeks remaining in the regular season. The Forrest Rockets, who are off this week, are undefeated, ranked third in Class 2A and sit atop the Region 4 standings with very winnable road games at Eagleville and Jackson County to finish the regular season.
