Elks crush Matthews to keep pace with MMC (Community Sports ~ 06/14/17)
The nightcap of the Monday night doubleheader was all Elks as the visiting team banged 14 hits over four innings to beat Matthews by a score of 22-5 in a game called early by run-rule. Matthews was able to cut the Elks’ lead to 8-4 following the second inning despite picking up just one hit in the game, but the Elks continued to score runs with ease with 14 over the final two innings. -
Marshall Medical Center wins third straight (Community Sports ~ 06/14/17)
Marshall Medical Center (MMC) jumped on A-Plus Collision Center early in the opening game on Monday night at the Jonathan D. Hollingsworth Memorial Babe Ruth Field, taking a 4-0 lead after one inning and then scored at least one run in three out of the next four innings to walk away with a 9-1 victory in six innings. Despite scoring just one run, A-Plus had several chances to tighten the game up, but left six runners on base with three in scoring position in the eight-run loss. -
Motlow State Bucks add TTU transfers to talented baseball class
