14U all-stars finish second (Community Sports ~ 07/12/17)
The Marshall County 14U Babe Ruth all-stars hosted the state tournament at the Jonathan D. Hollingsworth Field in Lewisburg and were looking for a berth in the SE Regional Tournament in Ocala, Florida the first week of August. After a big 8-0 win over Mt. Juliet in the opening round on Friday, Marshall County took down Lawrenceburg 7-2 on Saturday to get within one win from advancing before back-to-back losses to Tullahoma on Sunday and Monday ended their postseason. Logan Courtemanche took the ball in Friday night’s opener and pitched 5.2 innings of no-hit baseball before leaving the game on a pitch count. -
