Mr. Melvin Porter Ewing, age 87, of Lewisburg, passed on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollie and Melvin Ewing, Sr.; his son Melvin Eugene Ewing, and one infant child. He was educated in Marshall County, and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Afterwards, he worked at Easy Pay Tire Company and the Marshall County School Board.
