FMS Rockets start fast, finish slow (High School Sports ~ 12/05/17)
FMS (10-3) hosted MTCS (10-3) Monday night looking for a little revenge from an earlier season loss and after a hot start, the Rockets faded in the second half as the Cougars won going away, 34-24. Deason Jones took a behind the back pass from John Randle Dippold and banged home a 3-pointer to start the game for FMS before both squads went cold from the field. -
FMS Lady Rockets drop overtime nail biter (High School Sports ~ 12/05/17)
It’s always a war on the hardcourt when FMS and MTCS play and it went straight to the script Monday night at Chapel Hill as both squads fought tooth and nail before the Lady Cougars eked out a 26-24 overtime win. The biggest lead in the game was six points by the Lady Cougars in the fourth quarter. FMS jumped out to an early 6-2 lead to start the game on four points by Macyn Kirby and two by Addison Bunty, offset by the game’s opening basket from MTCS’ Sarah Wisniowski. -
