Lady Rockets bounce back from Summertown loss (High School Sports ~ 12/12/17)
After winning five straight games in the phone booth at Summertown, the Forrest Lady Rockets have lost four in a row, including a 65-50 road loss Friday night. “Summertown is a very good team, they jumped on us quick and started the game on a 17-4 run,” Forrest coach Jeremy Jean said. “We had to burn two timeouts in the first six minutes to try to stay in the game.” The Lady Eagles went on to build their lead to 32-10 in the second quarter, but Forrest came back to outscore Summertown the remainder of the game, something that gave much solace to Jean. -
Rockets break through, beat Lincoln County for first win (High School Sports ~ 12/12/17)
The losing streak is over. After 10 consecutive losses to begin the season, the Forrest Rockets broke through with an inspired 68-55 win over 3A Lincoln County Monday night at Chapel Hill. “That was a good win, I’m putting it lightly, that was a really good win,” Forrest coach Randy Toombs said. “That was a good basketball team we played against.”
