Moses, Durbin combine for opening day no-hitter (High School Sports ~ 03/07/18)
The Forrest Middle School Rockets traveled to Unionville Monday for the season opener and hammered the Vikings 16-0 in a five-inning, run-rule win. Kaine Moses and Riley Durbin combined for a no-hitter with Moses striking out eight and walking none and Durbin whiffed three Vikings and issued one free pass in the contest. FMS catcher Cason Warner led the offensive attack with a 2-for-3 and five RBI effort at the plate, including an inside the park homerun in the top of the fourth inning. -
Tigerettes’ magical season ends at Cheatham County (High School Sports ~ 03/07/18)
The Marshall County Tigerettes’ rejuvenation was a great sight to see this season as the four-time state champions posted a solid 22-9 record and advanced to a TSSAA state sectional game for the first time in a decade. Although the Tigerettes lost 57-39 at Cheatham County Saturday night, Marshall County exceeded expectations this season and are well on the way of returning to past glories. -
