Thursday night, a road trip to Coffee County to face Tullahoma Middle School was supposed to be the as-of-yet toughest game of the season for Lewisburg Middle School. But the ballgame quickly turned into an early rout and another version of the Demari Braden show as the elusive eighth-grade running back ran for an unofficial school record of seven touchdowns as the Tigers coasted to a 65-28 win. -
CMS Bulldogs roll over Flintville (High School Sports ~ 08/29/18)
Cornersville Middle School hosted the Flintville Bobcats in a throwback game Thursday night at Frog Bottom and it was all Bulldogs from start to finish in a 46-22 win. The contest was played with a running clock as the Bobby Hurt led officiating crew wanted to stave off any injuries to the Bobcats’ squad that brought just 15 players to Cornersville. -
Rockets trounce Fayetteville (High School Sports ~ 08/29/18)
After a 42-7 season opening blowout loss at third-ranked BGA, the Forrest Rockets bounced back in a big way via a 51-0 trouncing at Fayetteville Friday night. “The players came out focused and hungry,” Forrest coach Eli Stephenson said. “We had bad taste in our mouth from last week and we wanted to prove that we are a better team than that.” The Rockets scored 37 points in the first quarter and led 44-0 at halftime to improve to 4-0 all-time over the Tigers. -
Bulldogs dominate Eagles in blowout win (High School Sports ~ 08/29/18)
In the postgame huddle, Gerard Randolph told the team that he thought they had just played the best game he had seen the Bulldogs turn in as Cornersville’s head coach and it was an almost perfectly executed performance as the number three-ranked Dawgs spun a dominating 41-0 shutout win over seventh-ranked 2A Eagleville in the home opener at Frog Bottom Friday night. -
