Turnovers and untimely penalties can turn a win into a loss very quickly and that’s what happened to the Forrest Rockets, who fell 14-13 to Eagleville in Chapel Hill’s home opener Friday night at Murrey E. Holton Field. “That was a really tough loss,” Forrest coach Eli Stephenson said. “Our main goal is to make the playoffs and we just didn’t meet our goal tonight. The kids came out and played four quarters.” -

The middle of the season has come and gone for the Lewisburg Middle School Tigers and third-year head coach Beau Hardison. After combining to win just three games in his first two-years at the helm, Hardison has the Tigers roaring towards the finish line following a third straight lopsided win, this time a 40-6 win at Bridgeforth. -
Tigers fall to Tullahoma in home opener (High School Sports ~ 09/05/18)
The Marshall County Tigers hosted Region 4-4A foe Tullahoma Friday night at Preston Hopkins Field in Lewisburg for the home opener and things didn’t go as planned as the Wildcats broke a three-game losing streak versus MCHS with a hard-fought 14-13 win that went down to the last play. “No doubt a loss that stings badly, especially one of such importance being a region game,” MCHS coach Thomas Osteen said. “For whatever reason we came out flat as opposed to the fire that we played with in our first two contests.” -
Bulldogs run to third straight win (High School Sports ~ 09/05/18)
Anyone driving past Frog Bottom last Friday would see a sight that was reminiscent of last fall's historic run. The parking spaces were limited all the way back to the baseball field 30 minutes before kickoff, the now trademark fireworks after every Bulldog touchdown, and of course, the standing room only crowd packed three deep all around the football field fences. -
