History is the sum of individual stories, and volunteers in Marshall County are pushing to make sure that the stories of the county’s veterans are preserved. Local Iraq veteran Larry McKnight said that he realized, when the Veteran’s Outreach group was organizing a homecoming for county Vietnam veterans, that 165 of those veterans had died since the end of that conflict already, that something had to be done to collect veteran’s stories at danger of being lost forever...

Local youth attend the 72nd Annual Tennessee 4-H Congress (Local News ~ 04/11/19)
Lewisburg, Tenn. — For over 70 years, 4-H members from across Tennessee gathered in Nashville for Tennessee 4-H Congress. The annual event, which took place March 18th-20th, gave 4-H’ers the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day functioning of state government by assuming the roles of state representatives and senators. Foutch receives Billy Mitchell Award (Local News ~ 04/11/19)
Cadet 2nd Lt. Seth Foutch recently earned and was presented the General Billy Mitchell Award by State Senator Shane Reeves. The General Billy Mitchell Award is presented to cadets who completed eight achievements and two milestones of the cadet program.
