  • * Stars shine in Shelbyville (High School Sports ~ 07/10/19)
    The Marshall County 13-15 year old All-Stars travelled to H.V. Griffin Park in Shelbyville last weekend to compete in a Tennessee Youth Baseball Association (TYBA) state tournament qualifier as a precursor to this week’s Babe Ruth State Tournament at Lawrenceburg. Marshall County dominated the competition with a 4-0 record at Shelbyville, outscoring its opponents 35-3.
  • Oliver gets his first ace (Community Sports ~ 07/10/19)
    Lewisburg resident and Saddle Creek Golf Club member Ed Oliver scored his first hole in one on Friday on the Par 3, 109-yard 5th hole. Witnessing Oliver’s ace were John Haselden, Marion Anderton, Dannie Hill and Kerry Willis.
