Imogene Peery Harris, 89, owner of Harris Foodland and long-time resident of Mooresville Pike, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend James Sampley officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. NHC-Oakwood celebrated Halloween with their 5th annual pumpkin decorating contest, Monday, Oct. 28. A total of 35 pumpkins was entered in this year’s contest and one requirement in the decorating was to incorporate a Disney theme.
