In the second game of a Saturday doubleheader at Cornersville, the Collinwood Trojans faced the hometown Cornersville Bulldogs, who were hoping to gain their first victory of the year. The Bulldogs, coming off a lopsided loss at Richland, played measurably better but still came up short as Collinwood scored a 56-43 win. -
Collinwood hands Lady Bulldogs third straight loss (High School Sports ~ 12/11/19)
On a rare Saturday afternoon basketball game in Cornersville, the Collinwood Lady Trojans and the hometown Lady Bulldogs squared off in the 2 p.m. contest. The Lady Bulldogs struggled against an unbeaten Collinwood squad that nailed 10 three-point baskets and the Lady Trojans rolled to a 61-20 victory. “We are playing hard and hustling and trying to do what we ask of them,” Cornersville coach Martha Jane McMasters said. “This Collinwood team is a really good team. We have things to work on.”
