Eagles hand Rockets fifth loss in a row (High School Sports ~ 12/16/19)
The Forrest Rockets were stuck in a four-game losing streak and the recipe for busting out was not a good one as they headed to Eagleville Friday night where they got blown out 74-42. Eagleville is coming off a 31-5 season in 2018-2019, losing in the state semifinals to the eventual Class A state champion Columbia Academy Bulldogs. “We can't afford to get down to a team that has three returning starters from a Final Four run last year,” first-year Forrest coach Corey Bishop said. “However, I thought in the second half we matched them play for play and outscored them.” “We could've easily let the game get away big time, but we continued to fight it out.”
