Lady Wildcats hand Cornersville tough loss (High School Sports ~ 12/24/19)
The Cornersville Lady Bulldogs (2-6), playing their fourth game in eight days, finished up their contests against Maury County teams as they travelled to the little village of Santa Fe to face the hometown Lady Wildcats (0-7) Friday night. The Lady Bulldogs are still struggling in putting points on the board as they scored only two points in the first quarter. -
Bulldogs end tough stretch with loss at Santa Fe (High School Sports ~ 12/24/19)
The Cornersville Bulldogs (1-7), coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss at Zion Christian on Thursday, got no time to lick their wounds as they travelled to Santa Fe Friday night to face the Wildcats (3-4). The Bulldogs got no sympathy from the Wildcats as Andy Slaughter poured in 15 points and Santa Fe rolled 64-43. The Wildcats controlled the tip and immediately went up 2-0 on a basket by Jeremy Dotson. -
Bulldogs beat by last second buzzer beater (High School Sports ~ 12/24/19)
The Cornersville Bulldogs (1-6), coming off their first win of the season versus Hampshire on Tuesday, travelled to Zion Christian Academy on Thursday night where they provided the fans with a thriller. The two teams traded second half leads and were tied at the end of regulation before Sam Boyd raced down court for a three-point basket as time expired to give the home team a thrilling overtime 57-54 victory. -
Lady Bulldogs lose close knit contest at Zion (High School Sports ~ 12/24/19)
The Cornersville Lady Bulldogs (2-5) continued their early season contests with Maury County teams when they travelled to Zion Christian Academy to face the Lady Eagles on Thursday night. The Lady Bulldogs players, still battling cases of the flu and poor shooting woes, fell to the Lady Eagles 35-32.
