Rockets still searching for momentum (High School Sports ~ 01/08/20)
Forrest had a chance to pick up a win Thursday night at Chapel Hill as they took on Moore County, which was coming off four straight losses, but the Rockets could not produce enough offense and had too many turnovers in a 56-45 loss. “I thought tonight was one of our best defensive efforts of the year, I thought we had guys fighting and working hard and those things are going to pay off as we go on and I think these guys know it,” Forrest coach Corey Bishop said. “I think they are buying in more and more every day and it’s my job to help them get there and as long as they bring that attitude, we will be extremely fine.” It was the ninth consecutive loss for the Rockets (1-13), who were playing without top scorer Cameron Curtis due to a two-game in-team suspension because of technical fouls. -
