The Forrest Rockets embarked on their second long road trip in row Friday night, travelling to 4-A Lawrence County High School where they came up with a gut-wrenching 21-20 win when the Wildcats were stopped on a two-point conversion try with 29 seconds remaining in the contest. “We had two long trips and two big wins,” Forrest coach Eli Stephenson said. “Our boys played hard from the first whistle to the last whistle, our defense flowed to the ball and our offense got some movement, we just have to finish our drives in the second half.” -
Bulldogs battle hard in 13-7 road win over MTCS (High School Sports ~ 09/30/20)
The Cornersville Bulldogs (4-1, 1-1) hit the road to Murfreesboro to take on the Division-II, Class A - East Region foe, Middle Tennessee Christian School (2-3, 2-1) on Friday night. The Bulldogs, on the final leg of a road trip that included a win over GCA and a Covid-19 forfeit win over Mt. Pleasant fought a tough MTCS defense and came away with a 13-7 win. -

There are two things you can set in stone about a Thomas Osteen coached Marshall County squad no matter who the players or assistant coaches are that comprise the most recent roster. First, the Tigers will never feature an easy non-conference schedule. Whether it's the highest classification in the state (Brentwood, Cane Ridge, John Overton) or the best that metro Nashville has to offer at time (Pearl-Cohn, Stratford, East High), when the playoffs roll around the Tigers will be battled tested and ready to go against the best 4A has to offer. -

Curtis signs hoops scholarship to Freed-Hardeman University (High School Sports ~ 09/30/20)
Forrest senior Carissa Curtis has experienced the ups and downs of being an elite athlete, excelling on the basketball court as a Lady Rocket, competing as a high level travel ball player, and being an integral member of the Forrest golf team. Curtis, who transferred from Eagleville in her eighth-grade year and scored 18 points in her middle school debut at Chapel Hill, has scored 1,266 points in her Forrest high school career, averaging 14.7 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game, and 2.4 steals per game.
