Maxwell Football Club Announces Players of the Week - Week Six (College Sports ~ 10/14/20)
Each week during the 2020 season the Maxwell Football Club will recognize outstanding performances with two weekly awards. The Maxwell Award Player of the Week will be recognized for overall performance on offense, defense or special teams, and the Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week will be honored for outstanding defensive play. Players selected do not have to be represented on the Maxwell or Bednarik Award watch lists. -

Lady Rockets smash Fayetteville in District 6-A Tournament quarterfinals (High School Sports ~ 10/14/20)
Fifth-seeded Fayetteville City (4-11,1-7-1) travelled to Chapel Hill Monday night for a District 6-A Tournament quarterfinal game to face off with the fourth-seeded hosts Forrest Lady Rockets (5-6, 3-6), who steamrolled the Lady Tigers 7-1. Forrest scored four first half goals, highlighted by sophomore Camryn Chambless’ first half hat trick as they sailed to the easy victory. “We started off a little slow I thought, then we had some good things happen and we capitalized on their miscues and overall, I thought we played well,” Forrest coach Nichole Pickle said.
