Champions extend dominance over Rockets (High School Sports ~ 12/08/20)
After getting swept in the non-region season series last year, the Forrest Rockets dropped their third game in a row to longtime rival Cascade Friday night at Chapel Hill. “We played well in spurts of the game, but I need to be doing a better job of getting the guys to play with more effort and toughness throughout the entirety of the game,” Forrest coach Corey Bishop said. The Rockets lost 55-43, but were in the game and had a chance to win as late as midway through the fourth quarter. -
Lady Rockets take down Cascade in non-region clash (High School Sports ~ 12/08/20)
It’s always throwback time when Forrest and Cascade meet in any sporting event and Friday night in front of a packed house in Chapel Hill, the two squads met for a doubleheader with the Lady Rockets taking a 53-40 win over the Lady Champions in the opening game of the twin bill. It was the third win in a row for Forrest in the decades old matchup that is in the last year of non-region play as the district rivalry will be renewed next season when the 2021-2022 TSSAA realignment begins.
