On Friday, July 7, the two suspects that the Lewisburg Police have linked to the murder of Wing Chiu Li were arrested out of state on charges of aggravated assault.
Their identities have previously been released as, Daniel Calvo Vasquez also known as 'Mohawk' and Daniel Monjebrita also known as Jairo Canales or Kevin.
The assault also occurred in Lewisburg during the month of June, but was a separate offense from the murder.
At this time the LPD is unable to release any information on the state where the suspects were apprehended.
"All we can say right now is that it happened in the northeast area of the United States. We don't want to jeopardize the transportation of the suspects," said Police Chief Doug Alexander.
Alexander also declined to comment on when the suspects are scheduled to arrive for the same purposes. However, when the two are escorted back to Marshall County to answer to the aggravated assault charges, the LPD assures that the murder investigation will continue.
The LPD is unable to release any specific information about the capture of the two suspects until they make a final confirmation with the family of the victim.
"I would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation throughout this investigation," said Alexander.
